UNILAG Issues Admission Requirement Update for Engineering Aspirants

University of Lagos (UNILAG) has issued an important admission guideline for candidates seeking entry into its Engineering programmes, clarifying a key O’Level requirement for prospective students.

The institution stated that Further Mathematics is a compulsory requirement for admission into all Engineering courses offered by the university.

According to the notice, candidates who do not possess a credit pass in Further Mathematics in their WAEC, NECO, or equivalent O’Level examinations may not be eligible for admission into any Engineering programme at UNILAG, regardless of their JAMB score or other academic qualifications.

The university advised prospective applicants to carefully review its official admission requirements on the university website for accurate and updated information before applying.

The statement emphasized that the guideline reflects the current admission criteria for Engineering programmes and is part of efforts to ensure that candidates are adequately prepared for the academic demands of engineering studies.
