UNILAG School of Foundation Studies Releases Admission List and Screening Guidelines for 2024/2025 Academic Session

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has announced the release of the Admission List for the School of Foundation Studies (SFS) for the 2024/2025 academic session. Applicants who scored 40% and above in the Entrance Examination have been offered provisional admission.

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has officially announced the release of the Admission List for the School of Foundation Studies (SFS) for the 2024/2025 academic session. This announcement is crucial for all applicants who participated in the Entrance Examination and achieved a minimum score of 40%.

Key Dates and Information:

  • Screening Exercise: Scheduled from Wednesday, October 2, to Friday, October 4, 2024, daily from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Multipurpose Hall.
  • Commencement of Lectures: Lectures are set to begin on Monday, October 7, 2024.
  • Orientation Program: A mandatory orientation for all admitted students will take place on Thursday, October 17, 2024.

Screening Exercise Guidelines:

Admitted students are required to complete the following steps for the screening exercise:

  1. Access the Student Portal:

  2. Update Biodata Form:

    • Verify that all names are accurate and in the correct order (Surname, First Name, Other Name) in line with official documents (Birth Certificate, NIN, and “O” Level Statement of Result).
    • Print out the updated Biodata Form.
  3. For Staff of UNILAG:

    • Staff members and retired staff must visit the HRMD Office on the 2nd Floor of the Senate House to update their children’s biological status.
  4. Payment of Fees:

    • Print the provisional Admission Letter and review the conditions stated in the Acceptance Letter.
    • If agreeable, generate Pay Advice for acceptance and ID card fees totaling N28,500.
    • After payment, print, sign, and prepare the Letter of Acceptance for the screening.

Required Documents for Screening:

Admitted students must present the following documents during the screening:

  • NIN Slip
  • Offer of Admission Letter
  • Signed Acceptance Letter or Evidence of Acceptance Fees
  • Birth Certificate
  • Testimonial from Secondary School attended
  • “O” Level Result
  • Reference Letter from a Clergy, Imam, Lawyer, or Senior Public Servant
  • Original copies of all credentials along with two photocopies of each

Additional Notes:

  • It is mandatory for admitted students to be physically present for the Screening Exercise.
  • Students must also return to the student portal to generate Pay Advice for other fees, ensuring at least 50% of the Tuition Fee is paid before the commencement of lectures.
