UNILAG VC Signals Return of Students’ Union; Swears In Faculty and Departmental Executives

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Professor Folasade T. Ogunsola, OON, FAS, has officially signaled the revival of the university-wide Students’ Union. Speaking at the formal swearing-in ceremony for newly elected Faculty and Departmental executives, Prof. Ogunsola reaffirmed the institution's commitment to nurturing a new era of responsible and ethical student leadership.

The Vice-Chancellor emphasized that the university is focused on building a leadership structure that prioritizes diplomacy, integrity, and the welfare of the student body. The planned return of the central union is seen as a strategic move to integrate student voices into the university’s governance framework.
