UNIMAID Issues Urgent Notice on Resumption Date for 2025/2026 Academic Session

The University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) has released its official resumption schedule for the 2025/2026 academic session following approval by the University Senate.

The decision was taken at the 321st meeting of the Senate held on Thursday, November 13, 2025, according to a circular issued from the Office of the Registrar and signed by the Deputy Registrar, Directorate of Senate and Academic Matters, Mrs. Zara Umar Ibrahim.

The University will reopen for the new academic session on Thursday, January 15, 2026.

Under the approved schedule, new students will commence registration on January 15, 2026, while returning students are to begin their registration on Monday, January 26, 2026. Lectures for all students will officially start on Monday, February 2, 2026.
