The University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo, has announced the commencement of applications for Inter-University Transfer for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo, has announced the commencement of applications for Inter-University Transfer for the 2025/2026 academic session.
Established in 2014 as Nigeria’s first specialized medical university, UNIMED has distinguished itself with an uninterrupted academic calendar and a commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and service delivery in health science disciplines.
According to the announcement signed by the Acting Registrar, Mrs. Helen B. Atunwa, eligible candidates are invited to apply under the following conditions:

Special Information to All Applicants
i. Applicants must not have been out of active academic activities for more than one year.
ii. Applicants are to pay a non-refundable application fee of ₦30,000.
iii. Triplicate copies of the application form must be submitted.
iv. Only clear and properly signed documents will be treated.
v. Academic transcripts must be forwarded directly by the applicant’s university registrar to the Registrar, University of Medical Sciences, Ondo.
vi. Applicants are only allowed to transfer course to course; no change of discipline is permitted.
vii. Completed forms must be returned to the Academic Affairs Division within two weeks of collection.
viii. UNIMED reserves the right to conduct background checks on prospective candidates. -
Method of Application
Prospective candidates are to register online by visiting www.unimed.edu.ng and click on Inter-University Transfer under Admission. After completing the online registration, applicants are required to print the application form and manually complete it as appropriate. -
Student’s Supporting Documents
i. O’Level results preceding admission into the former university.
ii. UTME result (not less than 180).
iii. Academic transcript (official copy to be sent directly to UNIMED Registrar by the former university).
iv. Any other relevant document such as health reports, awards, or prizes. -
Application Fee
₦250,000 (non-refundable). -
Mode of Payments
Payment is strictly through the UNIMED Payment Platform at www.unimed.edu.ng. Only VISA or MasterCard is accepted, while VERVE cards are not allowed.
The university cautioned that it does not engage agents or individuals for admissions. All valid information and payments can only be obtained through the university’s website or official offices. Applicants who deal with unauthorized persons or make payments into personal accounts do so at their own risk.
