UNIPORT VC Backs Postgraduate School’s International Conference Plan, Seeks Alumni Support
The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT), Prof. Chike Princewill, has endorsed the Postgraduate School’s initiative to organise an international conference, describing it as a positive step towards strengthening research, promoting academic excellence and enhancing the university’s global visibility.

Prof. Chike gave the commendation when he received members of the committee established by the School of Graduate Studies (SGS) to plan and organise the proposed international conference.
The committee was led by the Associate Dean, Prof. Doris Adameh.
The Vice-Chancellor commended the committee for taking the initiative and urged its members to engage the university’s alumni as strategic partners in the project.
He specifically encouraged the committee to reach out to former postgraduate students of the university to solicit their support and cooperation towards the successful organisation and hosting of the conference.
Prof. Chike stressed that alumni remain valuable stakeholders whose contributions can significantly enhance the success of the event while also strengthening the university’s academic and research profile.

Earlier, the leader of the delegation, Prof. Doris Adameh, informed the Vice-Chancellor that the committee was constituted by the School of Graduate Studies to plan and organise an international conference that would bring together scholars, researchers and professionals from across the world to advance knowledge exchange and foster academic collaboration.
