University of Abuja Honors Outstanding Students

The University of Abuja (UniAbuja) recently recognized 14 students for their exceptional academic performance, awarding them a total of ₦1.5 million.

Each student received ₦100,000, with Adedayo Mercy Ibrahim, the overall best student from the Faculty of Agriculture, taking home ₦200,000 for achieving an impressive CGPA of 4.88.

The awards were presented during the 2025 International Students' Day Celebration, held at the Vice-Chancellor's Conference Room. Acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Mathew Adamu, commended the students for their hard work, emphasizing the importance of continuous improvement and collective effort in strengthening the university's academic standards.

National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) President, Comrade Olusola Oladoja, stated that the award recognizes hard work and excellence, motivating the students to strive for even greater academic achievement. The students expressed gratitude to the university management and NANS leadership, describing the gesture as a strong motivation to excel further.
