University of Abuja Mourns the Passing of Distinguished Professor Saint T. Gbilekaa

The University of Abuja is saddened to announce the passing of Professor Saint T. Gbilekaa, a renowned scholar in dramatic theory and criticism, who died on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital (UATH) after a brief illness.
In a statement, Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor Aisha Sani Maikudi expressed deep sorrow over the loss, describing Professor Gbilekaa's contributions as "profound" and "far-reaching". She highlighted his impact on the lives of students, colleagues, and practitioners in the field of theatre arts, extending beyond the classroom.
Professor Gbilekaa was a distinguished member of the Department of Theatre Arts, Faculty of Arts, and his intellectual influence will be deeply missed by his family, friends, colleagues, and students worldwide.
