University of Abuja Promotes Dr. Maria Aladi Apochi to Professorial Rank

The University of Abuja has promoted Dr. Maria Aladi Apochi to the rank of Professor, pending ratification by the Council. The promotion was announced by the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Patricia Manko Lar, at the 188th Regular Senate meeting held on April 8, 2025.

Dr. Apochi, who specializes in Science Education - Biology, was among 20 staff members elevated to the rank of Professor. The promotion recognizes her dedication, resilience, and hard work in her field.

The Acting Vice-Chancellor congratulated Dr. Apochi, describing her as a hardworking academic committed to advancing knowledge in her field. She emphasized that the promotion reflects the university's commitment to academic development and staff progress.
