The University of Abuja Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Centre made significant strides this week as participants in its ongoing Aquaculture Enterprise Training actively engaged in farm preparation exercises.
The hands-on sessions are part of a comprehensive effort to equip trainees with practical skills in fish farming and related aquaculture practices. Participants will continue their practical learning on Monday, 16th February 2026, at the University’s Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Wildlife Management.
The training programme is conducted under the Innovation Development and Effectiveness in the Acquisition of Skills (IDEAS) Project, an initiative of the Federal Ministry of Education with support from the World Bank, aimed at fostering practical skill acquisition, entrepreneurship, and sustainable enterprise development.
This week’s activities highlight the Centre’s commitment to bridging theoretical knowledge with practical application, preparing participants for success in the aquaculture industry.
