University of Delta Vice-Chancellor Commends NUC Executive Secretary During Accreditation Visit
The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Delta (UNIDEL), Agbor, Professor Stella Chiemeke, has commended the Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission (NUC), Professor Abdullahi Yusuf Ribadu, for his commitment to maintaining academic quality across Nigerian tertiary institutions.
The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Delta (UNIDEL), Agbor, Professor Stella Chiemeke, has commended the Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission (NUC), Professor Abdullahi Yusuf Ribadu, for his commitment to maintaining academic quality across Nigerian tertiary institutions.

Professor Chiemeke made the remarks in her office during a visit by the NUC accreditation team for Geography, led by Professor John Didacus Njoku from the Federal University of Technology (FUT), Owerri, to assess the Department of Geography and Environmental Management. She praised the Executive Secretary for ensuring rigorous quality assurance measures and described the ongoing accreditation efforts as a welcome development.
Professor Njoku explained that the team was dispatched by the NUC to evaluate departmental performance and ensure that academic standards were maintained in line with national guidelines.

Present at the accreditation visit were key management staff, including Professor Patricia Mbah, Deputy Vice-Chancellor; Barr. Richmond Omagbemi, Registrar; Dr. Sunny Ikeogwu, Bursar; and Dr. Mrs. Vera Okonoko, University Librarian.
Other participants included Dr. Anthony Ukpene, Dean of Faculty of Science; Dr. Felicia Mormah, Director of Academic Planning; Dr. Clement Origho, Head of Department of Geography; and Dr. Chijoke Iyamah, TETFund Desk Officer, alongside Prof. Tasiu Rilwan Yelwa (Bayero University, Kano) and Rabin Ibrahim, members of the NUC team.
