University of Ilorin Honors Renowned Animal Scientist, Professor Kolade Luke Ayorinde, for 37-Year Career
The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has celebrated Professor Kolade Luke Ayorinde's remarkable 37-year career in animal science and academia.
On September 19, 2024, Vice Chancellor Professor Wahab Egbewole, SAN, led a delegation to honor Prof. Ayorinde at his residence, following his valedictory lecture on September 17, 2024.
Prof. Ayorinde's impressive achievements include:
- 37 years of distinguished contributions to animal breeding and genetics
- Rising from Lecturer II to full Professor by age 41
- Leadership roles: Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics) at UNILORIN, Vice Chancellor at KolaDaisi University, and pioneer Vice Chancellor of Thomas Adewumi University
- Mentoring numerous Master's and PhD students, with 12 protégés holding professorial positions
- Fellowships: Nigerian Society of Animal Production (FNSAP) and Corporate Administration Institute of Nigeria (FCAIN)
