University of Maiduguri Announces Christmas and New Year Holidays

The University of Maiduguri has announced that it will observe the Christmas and New Year holidays as declared by the Federal Government.

The holidays will be observed on Wednesday, December 25, and Thursday, December 26, 2024, to celebrate Christmas and Boxing Day, respectively. Additionally, Wednesday, January 1, 2025, has been declared a public holiday to celebrate the New Year.

In accordance with the holiday schedule, university offices will close at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, and reopen on Friday, December 27, 2024, at 8:00 a.m. Similarly, offices will close at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, and reopen on Thursday, January 2, 2025.

Essential services will be maintained during the public holidays. The university wishes its staff and students a happy Christmas celebration and a prosperous New Year.
