The University of Port Harcourt has formally inducted students of the 2023/2024 academic session of the School of Science Laboratory Technology (SSLT) into the profession, urging them to uphold the principles of accuracy, professionalism, integrity and excellence in the discharge of their responsibilities.
The charge was delivered by the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Port Harcourt, Prof. Chike Princewill R. Chike, who was represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration and Advancement, Prof. Chukwudi Onyeasor.
The Vice-Chancellor gave the charge during the 12th Induction and Oath-Taking Ceremony of the School of Science Laboratory Technology, marking the formal entry of the students into the professional field.
Prof. Chike urged the inductees to remain committed to professional standards and ensure that accuracy, integrity and excellence guide their conduct as they begin their careers in science laboratory technology.
