UNIZIK VC Congratulates Prof. Chinedu Onyeizugbe on World Bank Appointment as Trainer for National Skills Programme

The Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, Professor Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie, has formally congratulated Professor Chinedu Onyeizugbe on his appointment as a Training Service Provider for the World Bank-supported Innovation Development and Effectiveness in the Acquisition of Skills (IDEAS) project under the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programme.

The Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, Professor Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie, has formally congratulated Professor Chinedu Onyeizugbe on his appointment as a Training Service Provider for the World Bank-supported Innovation Development and Effectiveness in the Acquisition of Skills (IDEAS) project under the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programme.

Professor Onyeizugbe, from the Department of Business Administration and Director of the Centre for Capital Market Studies and Innovation, recently presented the official Letter of Award to the Vice-Chancellor. The appointment designates UNIZIK as a key implementer of the IDEAS-TVET initiative, with Professor Onyeizugbe and his team overseeing the “Fashion Design and Garment Making” stream, targeting the training of 150 beneficiaries.

He also highlighted grants secured for related capacity-building projects, including a £100,000 award in 2022 funded by the Royal Academy of Engineering, UK.

In response, Vice-Chancellor Anyaehie lauded Professor Onyeizugbe and his team for bringing honour to the university and successfully securing a project of such national and international significance.

The presentation ceremony was attended by key members of the implementation team, including Professor Promise Oparah (Marketing), Dr. Akinloruye Bankole Isaac (Business Administration), Dr. Kanayo Nwosu (Marketing), and Mrs. Ogochukwu Nduka (UNIZIK Business School/Deputy Bursar).
