YABATECH Schedules SIWES Orientation for ND and CODeL Students

The Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), through its Students’ Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) and Placement Unit, has announced the timetable for its SIWES Orientation Programme for National Diploma (ND) full-time and Centre for Open and Distance Learning (CODeL) students for the 2024/2025 academic session.

The announcement was contained in an internal memo dated January 7, 2026, and signed by the Director of SIWES, Dr. U. C. Kanife.

According to the memo, the orientation programme is aimed at preparing students for effective participation in the SIWES programme and providing them with the opportunity to interact with officials of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) on all matters relating to industrial training.

The SIWES Directorate has directed the Dean of Student Affairs to ensure that all ND full-time and CODeL students are adequately sensitised and mobilised to attend the programme. The Directorate stressed that participation is compulsory and critical to a successful SIWES experience.

The institution’s management expressed confidence in the cooperation of all stakeholders to guarantee the smooth and effective conduct of the orientation exercise.
