Alexis White has etched her name in the annals of history by becoming the first person to achieve a Cybersecurity degree in the State of Louisiana, United States. Her groundbreaking accomplishment took place at Grambling State University, marking a momentous achievement for both Alexis and the state.

Remarkably, Alexis initially obtained her bachelor's degree in biology at Grambling University. She pursued biology due to the university's later introduction of the Cyber Security program. Her interest in Cybersecurity stemmed from her involvement in the high school's robotics team. She made the brave decision to embrace her passion, transitioning from biology to the uncharted territory of Cybersecurity.

Reflecting on her journey, Alexis expressed, "I knew I would regret it if I did not give myself the opportunity to really live out all my interests, especially since I had loved science since Barney was mixing blue and yellow to make green paint."

This tenacity and determination have been key attributes in Alexis's journey to becoming a trailblazer. She intends to complete her Clinton Global Initiative internship coursework and embark on an apprenticeship as a cyber analyst specializing in governance risk and compliance at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited.

Alexis expressed her deep emotions, saying, "So, the next day she actually passed away. So I didn't get a chance to tell her, but she knew what I was doing, and so after that, I got the email saying that I had gotten the position, the cybersecurity position with governance, risk, and compliance. So just to say, I am so happy that I was able to get that position and to make my family proud."

Dr. Yenumula Reddy, Alexis's professor, praised her unwavering dedication and achievement. Despite switching departments, Alexis's hard work, internships in various places, and active participation in numerous programs allowed her to graduate from the cybersecurity program in just two years.
