A 10-year-old Nigerian schoolchild, Oluwademilade Odumuboni, has emerged winner of the global grand prize for the 2022/23 edition of the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest.

A 10-year-old Nigerian schoolchild, Oluwademilade Odumuboni, has emerged winner of the global grand prize for the 2022/23 edition of the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest. 

Myschoolnews reports he achieved the feat after beating 782,852 other contestants from over 90 countries.

As winner of the competition, Oluwademilade walked home with a cheque of $5,000 meant fir educational purposes.

 

Congratulating him on Twitter, Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Mr. Peter Obi wrote:

with the concept of helping countries, especially African communities, in food production and ensuring a clean environment. His story, therefore, reinforces my ever-consistent message on the overwhelming importance of education, especially at the basic level."
