ABU Announces Resumption Date for 2024/2025 Academic Session

Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, has announced that the First Semester of the 2024/2025 Academic Session will commence on Monday, 9th December 2024. This decision was confirmed during the Senate's 539th Regular meeting held on Thursday, 29th August 2024.
In the same meeting, the Senate also approved the introduction of a Master of Laws (LLM) program in the Faculty of Law for the Nigerian Army School of Legal Studies (NASL), Zaria. Additionally, it revised the admission requirements for various undergraduate programs, with the changes set to take effect from the 2025/2026 academic session.
The Senate also filled vacancies in the Senate Electoral Committee (SEC) and recognized the efforts of the university's staff and students. Among the commendations were the promotion of 22 staff members to the rank of Professor and 26 others to the ranks of Reader, Principal Research Fellow, or Deputy University Librarian. The Senate further congratulated the ENACTUS team for securing the second position in the 2024 National Competition.
