Mekelle University Strengthens Global Health Partnerships at Belt and Road Seminar in China

A delegation from Mekelle University, led by Dr. Kibrom Gebreselassie, Chief Executive Director of the College of Health Sciences, participated in the Seminar on Healthcare Service Management for Belt and Road Countries held in Shenzhen, China, from August 25 to September 7, 2026.

The two-week programme brought together health professionals and leaders from Belt and Road countries to exchange expertise and explore innovative approaches to healthcare management, leadership and global health governance.

Mekelle University’s participation highlights the institution’s growing commitment to international collaboration, institutional capacity building and stronger global partnerships in healthcare.
