ABU Business School Hosts 2nd International Conference on ESG Innovations

The Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Business School, in collaboration with the Central Bank of Nigeria's Centre for Economics and Finance (CENEF) and the International Centre of Excellence for Rural Finance and Entrepreneurship (ICERFE), held its 2nd International Conference and Postgraduate Colloquium on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at the Telepresence Room, Main Campus, Samaru, Zaria.
The conference, themed "Innovations, Opportunities, and Challenges in the Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) Era," was officially opened by ABU Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kabiru Bala. He emphasized the importance of intellectual discourse in addressing current economic challenges. Keynote presentations included one by Professor Ayoib Che Ahmad of Universiti Utara Malaysia, who discussed the role of adaptability and innovation in business, and Associate Professor Wanamina Bostan Ali from Prince of Songkla University, who explored how ideas become innovations. The event concluded with closing remarks from Dr. Ismail Tijjani Idris, Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee, thanking participants and the university management for their support.
