ABU Urgent Notice To general public On scammers

Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria wishes to draw the attention of the University Community and the general public to the nefarious activities of some individuals who have been cloning the social media of it's Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kabiru Bala to defraud unsuspecting persons.

It has become necessary to be reporting these criminal activities from time to time as they keep up on recurring since 2020 when the Vice-Chancellor assumed the mantle of leadership of the University till date.

The scammers often chat with Vice-Chancellor's contacts via WhatsApp, Facebook, and other social media platforms on issues bordering contracts for the supply of computers and job offers, to swindle them.

While urging the general public to be wary of such scammers, the University Security Division is still working in tandem with other security agencies to track down the fraudsters for prosecution. Be informed accordingly, Thank you!
