Governor Fintiri expressed his sympathy to the university’s management, staff, and students, and pledged immediate renovation of the damaged building.

Adamawa State University Faculty Building Destroyed by Fire

On Saturday, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri visited Adamawa State University Mubi (ADSU) following a fire that destroyed the building housing its Faculty of Management Sciences. During his three-day working visit to the northern part of Adamawa State, the governor toured the affected building with the Acting Vice Chancellor, Dr. Stephen Lagu.

Governor Fintiri expressed his sympathy to the university’s management, staff, and students, and pledged immediate renovation of the damaged building. Additionally, he announced plans to install a solar power system to provide electricity to the university. This initiative is part of a collaboration with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) program to establish a mega solar farm, which will serve both the existing and newly developed campus.

"This university is dear to the government and people of our state. We as a government will do all it takes to ensure that the institution maintains its ranking in the country," Fintiri stated.
