KaHlomasambe Masango, a South African native, has achieved a remarkable feat by graduating with a degree in Education with 17 distinctions from the University of South Africa. Despite facing financial challenges, Masango worked as a gateman while pursuing his education.
Having relocated to Johannesburg in search of better opportunities, Masango initially worked as a plumber before transitioning to a job as a security guard in a pharmacy. It was during this time that he applied and was accepted to the University of South Africa.

Surviving financially with the help of student loans, Masango managed to excel academically, passing all 40 modules in his first attempt and obtaining his Bachelor’s degree in Education. Despite being overqualified, Masango continued working as a security guard while actively seeking employment opportunities in the education sector.
After registering with the Gauteng unemployed educators database, Masango secured a position as an Educator, teaching primary school students in Gauteng, South Africa.
