Addressing attendees at a seminar themed "Managing Campus Security: The Roles of Members of Staff," Prof. Francis Igbasan, the Vice-Chancellor of McPherson University, highlighted the necessity of ongoing discussions on security issues, particularly in response to emerging threats that could impact the university community.
Dr. Paul Ojo from the Department of International Relations at McPherson University defined security as the safeguarding of lives and properties. He emphasized the constitutional mandate of the government to prioritize the security and welfare of the people.
Ojo stressed the importance of collaboration between the government and citizens through intelligence sharing and adherence to the law to address the escalating insecurity across the nation.
