Admiralty University of Nigeria (ADUN) has announced the appointment of Navy Captain (Prof.) Isah Rambo Saidu as its new Deputy Vice-Chancellor, effective February 9, 2026. He succeeds Rear Admiral MM Abdullahi, who retired on January 31, 2026.

Admiralty University of Nigeria (ADUN) has announced the appointment of Navy Captain (Prof.) Isah Rambo Saidu as its new Deputy Vice-Chancellor, effective February 9, 2026. He succeeds Rear Admiral MM Abdullahi, who retired on January 31, 2026.

Upon arrival at Asaba International Airport, Captain Saidu was warmly received by a university delegation led by the Registrar, Cdr. Isaac M. Mankilik (Rtd). He subsequently met with the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Christopher Bankole Ndubuisi Ogbogbo, and senior management, followed by a formal welcome ceremony at the Vice-Chancellor’s Office on February 11, 2026.

Distinguished Academic and Military Profile
Navy Captain Saidu is a PhD holder in Computer Science with a career spanning both military command and academia:

  • Command Roles: Commanding Officer of the Nigerian Navy Simulation Center and Duty Officer at Headquarters Eastern Naval Command.
  • Instructional Leadership: Officer in Charge of the Computer Laboratory at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC).
  • Education: Alumnus of the Nigerian Defence Academy, AFCSC, and the University of Abuja.
