Ahmadu Bello University Announces Vacancy for Managing Director of ABU Press Limited

The Board of Directors of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Press Limited has officially declared a vacancy for the position of Managing Director.

The announcement, detailed in a Special Bulletin released on Monday, 30th March 2026, marks a strategic search for a Chief Executive Officer to lead the daily operations of the university’s printing and publishing arm.

The university is seeking a visionary leader with a proven track record in organizational change and strategic management to direct the company’s growth.

The institution has set rigorous standards for prospective candidates, emphasizing both academic qualifications and specialized industry experience. Key requirements include:

Academic Background: An HND in Printing Technology or a good honors degree in Production Management, Accounting, Business Administration, Marketing, or related disciplines. A postgraduate degree is considered an added advantage.

Professional Certification: Mandatory membership in the Chartered Institute of Professional Printers of Nigeria (CIPPON) or the Institute of Printing of Nigeria (IPoN).

Experience: A minimum of 15 years of cognate working experience, with at least five years spent in a senior management role within a contemporary printing and publishing company.

The successful candidate will serve an initial five-year term, which may be renewed for a second and final term based on satisfactory performance. The remuneration package is aligned with the established staff conditions of service for the Managing Director position at ABU Press Limited.
