Ahmadu Bello University Declares Lecture-Free Days for 44th Convocation Ceremony

Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) has announced that Friday, January 24, 2025, and Saturday, January 25, 2025, will be lecture-free days to allow staff and students to attend the Pre-Convocation Lecture and the 44th Convocation Ceremony.

The Pre-Convocation Lecture, titled "Agriculture and Food Security: A Path to Economic Growth and Climate Resilience in Nigeria," will be delivered by His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmadu Adamu Mu'azu, CON, former Executive Governor of Bauchi State. The lecture will be chaired by His Excellency, Chief Segun Osoba, CON, former Executive Governor of Ogun State, and will take place at the Abdullahi Mahadi Conference Centre on Friday, January 24, 2025, at 9:00 am.

The 44th Convocation Ceremony will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 9:00 am at the Mamman Kontagora Square, ABU Main Campus, Samaru, Zaria. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kabiru Bala, has invited staff, students, and other members of the university community to attend the lecture, emphasizing its importance to national development.
