Ahmadu Bello University Extends Profound Appreciation for the 43rd Convocation

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kabiru Bala, and the entire Ahmadu Bello University community express heartfelt gratitude to all dignitaries, guests, and well-wishers who graced the 43rd Convocation held on Saturday, 27th January 2024.

The Vice-Chancellor, Ahmadu Bello University, Prof. Kabiru Bala, has, on behalf of Council, Senate, Management, Staff, and Students, expressed the institution’s profound appreciation to all dignitaries and guests who attended the 43rd Convocation of the University held on Saturday, 27th January, 2024. 

A total of 25,432 graduands for the 2021/2023 academic session were conferred with first degrees, postgraduate diplomas and higher degrees during the occasion. Four eminent personalities received honorary degrees at the event. 

Prof. Bala also acknowledged with immense gratitude all the goodwill messages sent or presented by various visiting Vice-Chancellors, Rectors, Provosts, and other Heads of many research institutions congratulating the University on the memorable event.

He stressed that their presence and prayers contributed to the success of the ceremony and that the entire University community would remain grateful to them for the gesture. 

“I would like to thank Your Excellencies, Royal Highnesses, Distinguished Alumni, and all invited guests for your continued love and support to Ahmadu Bello University. These mean a lot to us. We will always appreciate your support to the University in upholding the legacy of the founding fathers”, he said. 

The Vice-Chancellor, equally, lauded the coverage, patience and resilience of all staff and students who have continued to give their best despite the challenges. 

Prof. Bala also commended the host communities for their cooperation and understanding, especially with the institution’s diverse setting of staff and students that cohabit with them. 

The Vice-Chancellor was particularly appreciative of the following invited dignitaries who attended the occasion in person or through representation:
