Ahmadu Bello University Inducts 72 Pharmacy Students

Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, has inducted 72 students into the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN). The oath-taking and induction ceremony took place at the Yusufu Bala Usman Hall on Wednesday, February 19, 2025.

 

The Registrar of the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria, Pharm. Ibrahim Babashehu Ahmed, represented by Dr. Anthony Idoko, Director of Education and Training, urged the inductees to continue pursuing knowledge, as the pharmaceutical industry is rapidly evolving. He cautioned them against unethical practices and emphasized the importance of providing quality pharmaceutical services

ABU's Vice Chancellor, Prof. Kabiru Bala, congratulated the parents and teachers of the inductees, acknowledging their support and sacrifices. He encouraged the graduands to contribute to combating drug abuse and misuse in society.

The Dean of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Prof. Aliyu Muhammad Musa, commended the staff's dedication to training the students. He encouraged the graduands to focus on research and utilize their knowledge for the betterment of society.

 

Awards were presented to outstanding students, including Abifarin Emmanuel Alaba, the best overall student, and Umar Fatima Sule, the best female student.
