Ahmadu Bello University Partners with Huawei and Signal Alliance for Major ICT Infrastructure Overhaul

Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) is set to embark on a comprehensive overhaul of its entire ICT infrastructure. The university community and the general public are invited to a formal ceremony marking the official commencement of the ABU ICT Infrastructure Revamp Project.

The initiative, officially titled the 'Network Infrastructure Refresh Project: Huawei Smart Campus for ABU', will officially launch with the signing of a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

The MOU will be signed by representatives from Ahmadu Bello University, Huawei Technologies (Nig) Ltd, and Signal Alliance.

The ambitious project involves a comprehensive overhaul of the university’s entire ICT network architecture and devices, structured into three distinct phases:

Phase I: Data Centre and Storage Network

Phase II: Distribution Layer Network

Phase III: Access Layer Network

This initiative reflects ABU's commitment to advancing learning, research, and national integration through high-quality technological infrastructure, in alignment with its founding mission from the Ahmadu Bello University Law 1962.
