Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic Declares Lecture-Free Week for Students’ Union Government Week

Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua, Ikot Ekpene, has announced that the 2025 Students’ Union Government (SUG) Week will be observed from Monday, August 25 to Friday, September 5, 2025.

In a circular signed by the Acting Registrar, Mr. Godswill E. Udofah, MNIM, management declared the entire period lecture- and test-free to allow students to fully participate in the activities lined up for the celebration.

According to the statement, while students will be exempted from lectures and tests during the period, non-teaching staff will continue with their regular duties. Academic staff are expected to engage in other responsibilities such as research and supervision of students’ projects.

The circular further stated that all academic activities will resume on Monday, September 8, 2025.

Mr. Udofah, on behalf of management, extended best wishes to students for a peaceful and memorable Students’ Union Government Week celebration.
