Amana Rides Launches Dedicated Transport Service for UDUS Female Students

Amana Rides has launched a transport service for female students of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS).

This was confirmed in a statement obtained from Dr Shadi Sabeh, the Chief Executive Officer of Amana Rides Nigeria Limited.

Established to provide safe, efficient, and accessible transportation services tailored to meet students’ rising needs, said Dr Sabeh of Amana Rides, a corporate transportation company officially registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission in October 2025.

He added that their services include commercial tricycle (Keke Napep) operations, motorcycle (Kabukabu) commuting, delivery and logistics services, among others.

For that reason, Dr Sabeh noted, Amana Rides is designed as part of ongoing efforts to promote safe, convenient, and comfortable mobility for female students in UDUS.

Additionally, he noted that to enhance inclusivity, efforts are underway to explore various ways to recruit and train female drivers.

Most recently, the management team of Amana Rides paid a visit to the Vice-Chancellor and other stakeholders.

Dr Sabeh told VANGUARD PRESS that their company is in discussion with the university to explore a possible public-private partnership between UDUS and Amana Rides Nigeria Limited, especially in view of the need for improved student mobility on campus.
