The Nigerian Educational Loan Fund (NELFUND) has launched the opening of the Student Loan Application Portal and declared that the students Loan Application portal is now accessible for students who wish to apply for student loan. 

This follows recent news where the Managing Director of NELFUND, Akintunde Sawyer, announced through a press statement signed by Nasir Ayitogo, the Media Head, that the portal for the submission of student loan applications would open on Friday, May 24th.

How to Apply:

  1. Visit the website at http://nelf.gov.ng.
  2. Create an account.
  3. Provide educational information, including institution and matriculation number.
  4. Verify JAMB details.
  5. Provide contact details: phone number, full residential address, state of residence, local government area.
  6. Provide account details: Bank Verification Number (BVN), bank name, account number.
  7. Request for a loan once the necessary information has been provided.
  8. Upload supporting documents; the admission letter is compulsory, while the Student ID and Institution Invoice are optional.
  9. Read the loan overview and submit the application.
