ATBU Begins Hostel Clearance as HEC Releases Accommodation Requirements for Students

The Hall Executive Council (HEC) of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi, has issued official guidelines for students seeking accommodation in the university hostels, outlining the clearance procedures required before occupying any hall of residence.

The Hall Executive Council (HEC) of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi, has issued official guidelines for students seeking accommodation in the university hostels, outlining the clearance procedures required before occupying any hall of residence.

According to the notice signed by the Chairman of HEC, Citizen Inuwa Ahmad, students interested in staying in the school hostels must first complete their hostel booking and payment of accommodation fees, after which their Remita payment must be converted to an official receipt.

The clearance requirements further include obtaining an official file jacket, submitting one passport photograph, and providing photocopies of admission letters. Returning students are also required to submit a photocopy of their school identity card, while all applicants must present one copy of the downloaded hostel policy and evidence of payment of the hostel maintenance levy.

The HEC stated that hostel clearance will be conducted at the Hall Supervisor’s Office of each hall, and only students who have completed all listed requirements will be processed.

The directive is aimed at ensuring a smooth and orderly hostel allocation and occupancy process for students during the academic session.
