ATBU Produces First NSBMB-Inducted Biochemistry Graduands in Nigeria

Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) Bauchi has achieved a historic milestone by producing the first set of biochemistry graduands to be officially inducted by the Nigerian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (NSBMB).

 

The induction ceremony, organized by ATBU's Biochemistry Department in collaboration with NSBMB, recognized over 100 graduands, marking a significant achievement for the students, the university, and the professional body nationwide.

Professor Lawal Bala Buratai, Vice Chancellor of Nigerian Army University, Biu, delivered a keynote address, emphasizing the limitless potential of biochemistry in medicine, agriculture, and manufacturing. He urged the graduands to explore innovative solutions to address local and global challenges .

The NSBMB President, Professor Matthew Wegwu, congratulated the graduands, highlighting the importance of biochemistry in understanding life sciences and addressing national issues.
