ATBU Students’ Union Steps in with Temporary Housing Amidst Ongoing Hostel Portal Crisis

The Students’ Union Government (SUG) of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) has announced a contingency housing plan to assist students stranded by persistent technical failures in the university's hostel booking system.

The Union noted that while some hostel blocks appear "open" on the system, they remain inaccessible for booking, while other units have not been listed at all. Faced with a stalemate in negotiations and a growing number of students without shelter, the SUG President and his team have resolved to provide temporary accommodation for those affected.

"The SUG will not sit back and watch its students become stranded," the statement read. "This temporary accommodation serves as an immediate solution while engagements with the management continue to ensure that the necessary actions are taken."
