Augustine University, Ilara-Epe, Lagos State, hosted an International Conference on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, to celebrate the exceptional academic and spiritual contributions of Rev. Msgr. Professor Francis Ishola Ogunmodede, a member of the institution's Board of Trustees. The event, held at the University’s Convocation Hall, brought together scholars, students, and distinguished guests from Nigeria and beyond.

In his opening address, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Christopher Odetunde, hailed Rev. Msgr. Ogunmodede as a “scholar par excellence and spiritual father,” commending his pivotal role in the growth and development of Augustine University.

The conference featured a keynote address delivered by Professor Wale Olajide, who offered profound insights into the event’s theme, sparking engaging intellectual discourse. This was followed by a roundtable session with prominent panelists, including Dr. Okorie and Dr. Oladosu from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and Dr. Victoria Akoleowo from the University of Ibadan.

Rev. Prof. Mark Ikeke presented the lead paper, delving deeply into the conference theme and delivering thought-provoking reflections that resonated with the audience.
