Augustine University Releases Admission Requirements

• Candidates must be at least 16 years old by October of the admission year.
• Admission is open to all, regardless of gender, race, or religion.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Admission Process:

   • All admissions are processed through the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB).
   • For admission into 100 level (UTME), candidates must:
     • Obtain a minimum of five Ordinary level credit passes at SSCE (or equivalent) in relevant subjects, including English and Mathematics.
     • Pass the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) as specified by JAMB and satisfy the University requirements in a Post-UTME screening exercise.

2. Direct Entry (200 level):

   • Candidates must possess at least two A’ level passes (or equivalent) in relevant subjects, or possess NCE or a good first degree in another field.
   • Candidates must meet the SSCE/NECO or equivalent basic requirements.

3. Choice of Institution:

   • UTME candidates must select Augustine University Ilara as their 1st choice of institution on the JAMB portal and upload their O'Level result for admission consideration.
   • Direct Entry candidates must obtain the JAMB DE form for the year before admission consideration.

PROGRAMME-SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

• Faculty of Humanities, Management and Social Sciences:

  • Various programs such as English, Religious Studies, Philosophy, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Mass Communication, Political Science, etc., have specific admission requirements outlined in the university's admission guidelines.

• Faculty of Engineering:

  • Computer Engineering requires A’ level passes in Mathematics and Physics, along with specific O'Level subject requirements.

• Faculty of Basic Medical Health Science:

  • Nursing program, for example, requires A’ level passes in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, along with specific O'Level subject prerequisites.
