Bayero University, Kano Partners with Aspira Nigeria to Award Scholarships to 60 Indigent Students
Professor Sani, speaking on behalf of BUK’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sagir Adamu Abbas, expressed gratitude for Aspira’s support, particularly for the company's pledge of scholarships and the recently launched Laundromat project at BUK’s Old Campus.
Aspira Nigeria Limited has reaffirmed its commitment to awarding scholarships to 60 indigent students of Bayero University, Kano (BUK), as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. This was announced on Thursday, October 3, 2024, by the General Manager, Abbas Jaafar, during a courtesy visit by a BUK delegation led by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Management Services, Professor Mahmoud Umar Sani.
Mr. Jaafar assured the delegation that the scholarships would be provided soon and emphasized the company's dedication to supporting education, which aligns with its broader mandate to contribute to Nigeria's development. He also highlighted Aspira's recent initiatives, including the renovation of 33 public schools in Kano and the provision of over 400 tables and chairs.
