Bayero University Receives Notification from National Orientation Agency on New National Anthem
The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has notified Bayero University, Kano, of the need to promote the official version of the new national anthem, as signed into law by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The agency aims to clarify any doubts about the correct lyrics, which are contained in the Act.
The new national anthem is part of the National Identity Project (NIP), a key initiative of the current administration, focusing on installing national values. As custodian of national symbols, NOA is responsible for promoting and preserving the integrity of the national anthem to foster national cohesion, unity, and patriotism.

Additionally, NOA will soon announce a call for entries to produce an authentic Nigerian melody, incorporating indigenous instrumentation. Details on the entry process and timeline will be shared through NOA channels.
The agency also highlighted common errors in the current national anthem's rendition, emphasizing the correct lyrics in lines three and five of the first stanza.
