Bayero University Student Affairs Deanery Fosters Strategic Partnerships

The Dean of Student Affairs at Bayero University, Kano, Professor Shamsuddeen Umar, has established partnerships with the Centre for Gender Studies and the Centre for Career Services to enhance student welfare and success.

 

The partnerships, initiated through visits to the centres on December 16 and 18, 2024, aim to advance the university's strategic goals in student welfare, academic support, and career development. Professor Umar identified areas of mutual interest and collaboration with the centre directors.

"Our students are the heart of the university, and these centres address critical areas affecting their well-being and growth," Professor Umar stated. He proposed integrating the centres' activities into the student handbook and allocating time during the annual orientation programme for the Career Services Centre.
