Bayero University SUG Launches Initiative to Regulate Campus Prices

The Students' Union Government (SUG) of Bayero University Kano (BUK) is set to launch the Survey and Price Regulation Team (SPRT), aimed at addressing price inconsistencies across the university.

The SPRT will conduct price surveys, engage vendors, and propose fair pricing standards for essential goods and services. According to the 57th Sales Director, Umar Nasir (Pharouq), the initiative seeks to promote affordability, accountability, and transparency on campus.

The team will identify exploitative pricing, collaborate with authorities and vendors for price standardization, and raise awareness on consumer rights and fair trade practices. The launch marks a new era of economic advocacy under the SUG, with a call for students, vendors, and stakeholders to support the initiative.
