Meet Monday John, a resilient Nigerian student who has emerged as the Second Overall Best Graduating Student of the 2025 graduating class at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife.
Monday graduated with a First Class degree in Mechanical Engineering, recording an exceptional 4.90/5.00 CGPA — a remarkable feat that reflects years of hard work, discipline, and perseverance.
His journey wasn’t always smooth. After missing admission in 2017 despite an impressive UTME score, Monday spent a year studying independently and strengthening his academic foundation. In 2018, he finally gained admission into OAU — a university he once believed was beyond his reach.
