BUK Lecturer Prof. Yakubu Magaji Azare Nominated as Orator for Nigeria Academy of Letters Convocation

Professor Yakubu Magaji Azare, Director of the Center for Research in Nigerian Languages Translation & Folklore (CRNLT&F) at Bayero University Kano (BUK), has been nominated as the Orator for the 2024 convocation of the Nigeria Academy of Letters (NAL).

The convocation, themed "Demagoguery and Democracy," will take place on August 8, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the J.F. Ade-Ajayi Auditorium, University of Lagos. The event will feature the investiture of 10 new Regular Fellows, 3 Overseas Fellows, 2 Honorary Fellows, and 3 recipients of the NAL Award of Excellence in Humanistic Practice.
