BUK Registry Department Honors Two Retired Senior Staff

The Registry Department of Bayero University, Kano, held a grand sendoff celebration to honor two retired senior staff, Dr. Sani Ibrahim Amin and Malam Muhammad Danlami Nasiru, for their dedication and selfless service.

The event, which took place on May 23, 2024, at the Convocation Arena, New Campus, was attended by the University community, including the Vice Chancellor, Professor Sagir Adamu Abbas, who praised the retirees for their hard work and mastery of their jobs.

Dr. Sani Ibrahim Amin, a former Registrar of Bayero University, Kano, and Malam M. D. Nasiru, a former Registrar of Sule Lamido University, Kafin Hausa, Jigawa State, were celebrated for their contributions to the University's growth.

The Vice Chancellor encouraged other Registry staff to emulate the retirees' work ethic and announced plans to promote deserving staff to Director level without requiring them to be Registrars.

The retirees were praised by Deputy Registrars Hajiya Anisatu Muhammad Uwais, Hajiya Halima Hayatu, and Comrade Haruna Aliyu for their dedication, commitment, and mentorship.

In their remarks, Malam M. D. Nasiru and Dr. Sani Ibrahim Amin advised Registry staff to be loyal, knowledgeable, and seek corrections from colleagues. They expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve the University.
