Caleb University, Imota, Lagos, through its Tech Hub in collaboration with the Department of Computer Science, has hosted a one-day workshop and digital exhibition aimed at promoting innovation and entrepreneurship among students under the theme “Transforming Digital Products to Revenue.”
The event, held at the university’s Multipurpose Hall, brought together students, software developers, tech enthusiasts, innovators, and members of the academic community. It focused on equipping participants with practical strategies for converting technological ideas into viable commercial products and services.
The Vice-Chancellor of Caleb University, Prof. Olalekan Asikhia, urged students to go beyond basic digital literacy and embrace innovation that delivers both social impact and economic value.
He noted that the global economy is increasingly technology-driven and emphasized the need for students to position themselves as solution creators rather than passive users of digital tools.

According to him, the university remains committed to producing graduates who are technically competent, entrepreneurial in mindset, and globally competitive.
“Technology must move beyond coding for entertainment to coding for impact, relevance and economic transformation. The Caleb University Tech Hub was established to serve as a launchpad for future innovators and creators who will build sustainable digital solutions capable of competing globally,” he said.
