Sir Sunday Udo Akpan holds the esteemed title of being the First Generation Graduate of Accounting at the University of Lagos, where he pursued his studies from 1963 to 1966. His academic achievements at UNILAG paved the way for future generations of students in the field of accounting.

In his professional career, Sir Sunday Udo Akpan served as a Retired Permanent Secretary and held the pivotal role of Commissioner for Finance in Akwa Ibom State. His expertise and leadership in financial matters have made a significant impact in his home state.
