Coal City University Enugu, marked the 2024 World Blood Donor Day with an impactful event dedicated to celebrating and recognizing blood donors worldwide.

The event featured a series of health talks and awareness sessions. Participants were treated to insightful discussions on the significance of haemoglobin for healthy living, along with other vital health information and counseling sessions.

In his opening address, Prof. Emeka Igwe, Deputy Vice Chancellor of Coal City University, emphasized the event's importance in promoting public health education and commended the collaborative efforts that made the event possible. The Registrar, Lady A. I. Ude, expressed gratitude to blood donors globally, calling their contributions "an extraordinary act of humanity."

Distinguished resource persons including Prof. Godwin Obike Ibegbulam, Ass. Prof. Angela Ugwu, and Dr. Ebele Moghalu, among others, graced the occasion, sharing their expertise to enlighten and empower the audience.

The event was attended by various faculty members of Coal City University, including Mrs. Eunice Okoloije and Prof. Nnamdi Okenwa, demonstrating the institution's commitment to community health initiatives.
