Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU) on February 4, 2026, conducted a supplementary induction ceremony for seventeen medical graduates of its College of Medicine at Amaku COOUTH, Awka.

The ceremony underscored the institution’s continued commitment to producing competent and ethically grounded medical professionals for Nigeria’s healthcare system.

The event brought together key figures within the College of Medicine and the wider medical community. Prof. P. U. Nze formally presented the inductees for induction, while the Head of Department of Paediatrics, Dr. Chinenye Uju, and a member of the College of Medicine Academic Committee (DCMAC), Dr. Ifeoma Njelita, were also in attendance. Dr. Njelita delivered the vote of thanks at the close of proceedings.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kate Azuka Omenugha, FNIPR, was represented by Prof. N. Nnorom, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration and Planning). The ceremony was further strengthened by the presence of the representative of the Registrar of the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN), Prof. Bismarck Eke of the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH), Enugu, reflecting compliance with national regulatory standards governing medical training and practice.
